Senior Airman Milford D. Sweat distinguished himself by outstanding achievement as Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) Controller, 7th Security Forces Squadron, 7th Mission Support Group, 7th Bomb Wing, Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. During this period, Airman Sweat supported Operation Enduring Freedom by serving three tours of duty in Iraq. In this important assignment, he aided in the transfer of an Al-Qaeda operative, established an initial cordon and controlled entry to the American Embassy during a bomb threat, and executed several traffic control points in an effort to search for and capture three suspected vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (IED). Airman Sweat also responded to twenty-three alarm activations, eighteen medical emergencies, and as a first responder to two major vehicle accidents, providing medical care to wounded personnel and maintaining order until the arrival of authorities. The distinctive accomplishments of Senior Airman Sweat reflect credit upon himself, the 7th Security Forces Squadron and the United States Air Force.




Staff Sergeant Justin B Schuetz distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Security Forces Installation Patrolman, 911th Security Forces Squadron, 911th Air Wing, Pittsburgh International Airport and Air Reserve Station, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During this time, Sergeant Schuetz was selected by shift leadership to serve as Controlled Area Monitor for the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) where he systematically reviewed and audited all primary BDOC controller information. His proactive efforts ensured the BDOC was prepared for any eventuality through the creation of streamlined, user-friendly checklist binders, accurate recall phone trees, and building custodian contact information. Moreover, he executed law enforcement duties and implemented Force Protection and Random Anti-terrorism Measures in defense of 250 million dollars worth of aircraft and resources. Further, Sergeant Schuetz donated his personal time through local law enforcement motorcycle rides for youth camps, raising over 1,900 dollars, and helped procure golf equipment for donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Schuetz reflect credit upon himself, the 911th Security Forces Squadron and the United States Air Force.




Senior Airman Jessica V. Goodman distinguished herself by outstanding achievement while serving as BDOC Controller, 99th Security Forces Squadron, 99th Security Forces Group, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. During this period, Airman Goodman was handpicked to provide security during two Presidential speeches at Bagram Air Base and Nellis Air Force Base. Her attention to detail resulted in zero mishaps during the President's visits. In addition, she provided security for annual Red Flag events, protecting over six billion dollars worth of war fighting air assets and twenty thousand military personnel. Further, Airman Goodman deployed twice in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, participating in over 1,500 hours of outside-the-wire patrols, preventing improvised explosive device attacks on Army and Marine Corps convoys carrying supplies throughout the country. Finally, Airman Goodman participated in the 2009 "Aviation Nation" Air Show. Her diligent security execution directly led to the safety and security of over 250,000 spectators and other high profile visitors. The distinctive accomplishments of Airman Goodman reflect credit upon herself, the 99th Security Forces Squadron and the United States Air Force.




Staff Sergeant Lynn G Murphy distinguished herself by meritorious service while serving as BDOC Controller, 99th Security Forces Squadron, 99th Security Forces Group, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. During this period, Sergeant Murphy was hand selected to assist the 99th Security Forces Group Mobility section where she flawlessly prepared over one hundred deployers for missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Additionally, she was selected to take charge of the Air Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool and maintained one hundred percent accuracy on the reporting of over two hundred Unit Type Codes, directly contributing to an overall excellent rating for the 2012 Operational Readiness Inspection. Further, Sergeant Murphy was placed in charge of the squadron evaluations program where she tracked and routed performance reports for over five hundred personnel, preserving system integrity and reducing overdue evaluations by seventy percent. Finally Sergeant Murphy was entrusted to plan, coordinate with outside agencies, and execute security procedures for Michelle Obama's visit to Nellis and North Las Vegas. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Murphy reflect credit upon herself, the 99th Security Forces Squadron, and the United States Air Force.
