Financial Operations Technician

Senior Airman Maxwell N. Moore distinguished himself by meritorious service as Financial Operations Technician, Financial Management Flight, 17th Comptroller Squadron, 17th Training Wing, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. During this period, Airman Moore led the unit's Government Purchase Card (GPC) program and responsibly budgeted more than $28,000 in unit funds, procuring mission critical items and increasing compliance to one hundred percent as validated by the Inspector General's office. In addition, Airman Moore developed and implemented a new GPC process flow chart training program for the squadron, streamlining the squadron's material acquisition process. Furthermore, while deployed, Airman Moore managed the $800,000 dollar Wing GPC program and coordinated funding requests with 15 squadrons, becoming indispensable to securing $1.2 million dollars in funding vital to deployment requirements. Finally, his contributions were pivotal to the 17th Comptroller Squadron being awarded Comptroller Squadron of the year in 2019 and Air Education and Training Command Financial Services Office of the year in 2020. The distinctive accomplishments of Airman Moore reflect credit upon himself, the 17th Comptroller Squadron and the United States Air Force.
