Staff Sergeant Wendy B. Schaetzel distinguished herself by meritorious service while assigned as Military Training Instructor, 344th Training Squadron, 37th Training Group, JBSA Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. During this period, Sergeant Schaetzel in-processed over 10,000 Airmen from basic training including 35 re-class Airmen and transitioned them to 135 operational Air Force locations across 14 Air Force Specialty Codes meeting all Report No Later Than dates and filling critically manned career fields. In addition, she completed 12,000 Technical Training Management System actions, verified and uploaded 1,000 physical fitness evaluations into the Air Force Fitness Management System, coordinated 4,500 appointments, conducted 5,600 uniform and room inspections, and submitted 700 recruiter assistance forms, securing 7,200 days across 42 States. Finally, Sergeant Schaetzel managed four dormitories and identified 200 quality of life concerns, improving living conditions for 3,000 Airmen. Moreover, she delivered five immersion briefs to higher headquarters leadership, securing funding for ten million dollars in building renovations. Technical Sergeant Kimberly N Spelling distinguished herself in the performance of outstanding service to the United States as Military Training Instructor, 22d Training Support Squadron, Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. During this period, as NCOIC of Commissioned Officer Training, Sergeant Spelling assisted with 28 Blue Line ceremonies, trained and narrated 28 Tattoo ceremonies, authored the first Commissioned Officer Training dormitory manual, and introduced room inspections. In addition, she advised the Commander on all ceremonies for Basic Officer Training, Commissioned Officer Training, and Reserve Officer Training Corps and presided over the commissioning of over 11,000 future Air Force leaders. Further, as Military Drill and Ceremony NCO, she oversaw a parade field and over eighty thousand dollars in equipment. Finally, she served as liaison to the Holm Center protocol office and coordinated over 30 ceremonies for distinguished visitors and dignitaries.
