Air and Ship Coordinator

Technical Sergeant Eric A. Marshall distinguished himself by outstanding achievement as Air and Ship Coordinator, United States Liaison Office, United States Embassy, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 1 February to 31 March 2013. During this period, Sergeant Marshall coordinated the Diplomatic Clearance for the first ever United States Air Force C-130 to land at Zayed Military City Airfield in support of CENTCOM's Crisis Response Element. His efforts strengthened the inter-operability between the United States and the United Arab Emirates, contributing to increased regional stability and wartime readiness. In addition, Sergeant Marshall single-handedly revised the Foreign Clearance Guide, increasing the lead times for both hazardous cargo movement by aircraft and port entries for U.S. Navy warships, which enhanced the effectiveness in achieving Host Nation approval. The distinctive accomplishments of Technical Sergeant Marshall reflect credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
