Staff Sergeant Joseph L. Schwochert distinguished himself by meritorious service as Desk Sergeant, 31st Security Forces Squadron, 31st Mission Support Group, 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy. During this period, Sergeant Schwochert displayed superior command and control, certifying in the position of Security Controller and spearheading Operation Assured Mantle, ensuring the success of Aviano's first 1.1 billion dollar surety movement and garnering the position of Control Center Supervisor. In addition, he certified himself as a Tactical Combat Casualty Care Instructor and facilitated and taught over one hundred members, boosting Wing readiness. Further, he developed and mentored three Senior Airman Below-The-Zone recipients, garnered one Senior Airman a promotion, and guided one transition from enlisted to officer, fostering development and strengthening the Air Force's future leadership. Senior Airman George M. Dillard distinguished himself by meritorious service as a Security Forces Desk Sergeant, 99th Security Forces Squadron, 99th Security Forces Group, 99th Air Base Wing, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. During this period, Airman Dillard's leadership and professionalism aided immeasurably in the protection of personnel and resources on the busiest and most diverse installation in Air Combat Command. As a Desk Sergeant, he handled and processed 23 DUIs, 95 AF IMT 3545s, 143 DD Form 1408s, 20 DD Form 1805s and 43 cases of domestic violence, all of which had a one hundrd percent conviction rate. Additionally, he deployed to Camp Bucca, Iraq, in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM, safeguarding more than 33,000 detainees and 6,500 United States military and civilian personnel. Furthermore, as an installation patrolman, Airman Dillard responded to a major gas leak and evacuated the surrounding dormitories, ensuring the safety of more than 400 Airmen. Finally, Airman Dillard led a security element in support of the 2007 Aviation Nation Air Show. His aggressive and proactive patrolling led to an incident free venue for over 250,000 distinguished visitors and guests. Senior Airman Shelly B. Calhoun distinguished herself by meritorious service as Desk Sergeant, 81st Security Forces Squadron, 81st Mission Support Group, 81st Training Wing, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. During this period, Senior Airman Calhoun played a key role in the Operations Flight receiving an "Excellent" rating during the 2007 Air Education and Training Command Inspector General Operation Readiness Inspection. In addition, she was directly responsible for the detection and apprehension of three intoxicated drivers, enforcing the Air Force's zero tolerance policy on driving under the influence. Further, she performed duties as Entry Controller for 12 deployed F-117 aircraft and related equipment valued at 1.5 billion dollars, preventing acts of sabotage and sustaining the mission. Moreover, she efficiently dispatched patrols to a death at a construction site, ensuring the area was secure until the arrival of OSI. Finally, her rapid response during a shoplifting incident led to the arrest and conviction of four suspects and facilitated the recovery of two thousand dollars worth of AAFES property. The distinctive accomplishments of Airman Calhoun reflect credit upon herself, the 81st Security Forces Squadron and the United States Air Force.
