Senior Airman Victoria R. Rhodes distinguished herself by meritorious service while serving as Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, 35th Surgical Operations Squadron, 35th Medical Group, 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan. During this period, Airman Rhodes provided medical support to more than 11,000 beneficiaries, performing 1,400 routine and emergent radiologic, computed tomography examinations. Additionally, she meticulously reviewed over 11,000 diagnostic imaging reports for five radiologists at five medical treatment facilities, preventing the potential loss of medical credentials of a medical doctor. Moreover, as the Supply Custodian, she identified a contrast medication discrepancy, which averted patient injury and prevented three deaths, earning her the 35th Medical Group's Patient Safety Award. Further, Airman Rhodes taught 13 Self-Aid and Buddy Care (SABC) classes in support of the Wing's first Ability to Survive and Operate Rodeo, training 1,000 personnel and increasing mission readiness by 50 percent. Finally, her outstanding performance culminated in her selection as the Surgical Operation Squadron's Airman of the Quarter, Airman of the Year, and Wild Weasel of the Month. The distinctive accomplishments of Airman Rhodes reflect credit upon herself, the 35th Surgical Operations Squadron and the United States Air Force.




Senior Airman Christopher A. Strayer distinguished himself by outstanding achievement while serving as Computed Tomography Technologist, 35th Surgical Operations Squadron, 35th Medical Group, 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan. During this period, Airman Strayer provided around the clock Computed Tomography coverage that ensured one hundred percent modality availability and reclaimed more than two hundred thousand dollars for the 35th Medical Group's budget. He performed 423 X-rays and over 130 Computed Tomography exams, averting over 90 transports and reclaiming over 200 man hours per month for the unit. In addition, Airman Strayer developed and implemented a Computed Tomography departmental training plan, 30 protocols, and quality control standards while precepting four Diagnostic Imaging members, improving qualification rates by 30 percent. Further, he served as the Patient Safety Champion for the Medical Group and instructed 29 clinic personnel on zero harm culture and audited 457 safety reports from across the Medical Group, contributing to the recertification from The Joint Commission. The distinctive accomplishments of Airman Strayer reflect credit upon himself, the 35th Surgical Operations Squadron and the United States Air Force.




Technical Sergeant Renee M Johnson distinguished herself by meritorious service while serving as Non-Commisioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC), Diagnostic Imaging, 39th Medical Support Squadron, 39th Air Base Wing, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. During this period, as NCOIC, Sergeant Johnson spearheaded the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding with Aviano Air Base, exploiting local resources and resulting in an annual savings of 70,000 dollars for the Air Force. In addition, as the sole Picture Archiving Communication System Administrator, she managed a critical medical program that expedited 3,000 exams to the radiologist for diagnosis. Furthermore, Sergeant Johnson directed the mammogram program, capturing the top spot across U.S. Air Forces In Europe (USAFE) and second place Air Force wide, for the Medical Group, Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set. Moreover, she managed, coordinated, and conducted 13 cross-section inspections, and was recognized by the Health Services Inspector for the efficient squadron program. Finally, she co-chaired a Relay For Life event, raising 22,000 dollars toward cancer research. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Johnson reflect credit upon herself, the 39th Medical Support Squadron and the United States Air Force.
