Executive Security Driver

Staff Sergeant Gany M. Gamboa distinguished himself by meritorious service as Executive Security Driver, 425th Air Base Squadron, 16th Air Expeditionary Task Force, United States Air Forces in Europe, Izmir, Turkey. During this period, Sergeant Gamboa flawlessly operated non-tactical armored vehicles for over fifteen thousand incident-free miles in a demanding urban environment. His tireless efforts resulted in 55 high threat trips without incident. In addition, Sergeant Gamboa selflessly volunteered to serve as the logistics lead for Allied Air Command Izmir's largest international community event that supported over 2,500 personnel. For his unquestionable dedication and attention to detail, Sergeant Gamboa was nominated as the primary Executive Security Driver for numerous General Officer visits and distinguished visitor delegations. Demonstrating his acute sense of ingenuity, Sergeant Gamboa co-authored the first-ever 16th Air Expeditionary Task Force's Executive Security Driver continuity program that provided an inclusive summary of local area security, saving countless man hours and over 2,000 dollars in fuel expenses. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Gamboa reflect credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
