Electronic Combat Officer Citations

Captain Chester Saunders distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Electronic Combat Officer, 184th Fighter Squadron, 188th Fighter Wing, Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Arkansas. During this period, Captain Saunders played a vital role in the 188th Fighter Wing's success during recent inspections conducted by the Active Duty Air Force's Inspector General Team. He single handedly built the 188th Fighter Wing's Electronic Combat Officer Program from the ground up and wrote the Electronic Combat Wing Operational Instruction to comply with Air Force Standards. With this program, he won "Best Practice" accolades from the Unit Compliance Inspection Inspector General Team. His hard work and dedication carried over during the 188th Fighter Wing's Combat Shield Exercise where, as the Electronic Combat Officer, he coordinated and conducted the Combat Shield Exercises. In addition, he established and maintained the 188th Fighter Wing's Signature Management and Military Deception Programs. Further, Captain Saunders successfully completed the 4-ship Flight Lead Upgrade Program and obtained his Instructor Pilot Rating in the A-10C aircraft. The distinctive accomplishments of Captain Saunders reflect credit upon himself, the 188th Fighter Wing and the United States Air Force.
