Custis distinguished himself by outstanding achievement as Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, Materiel Control, 380th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, 380th Expeditionary Air Wing, Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates. During this period, Sergeant Custis was handpicked to lead the Materiel Control section with only 50 percent manning which led him to train another NCO outside of the vehicle management career field. He facilitated the procurement of 491 equipment parts and tools worth more than 412,000 dollars and distributed 1,711 items for three maintenance shops in support of 21 units' missions at Al Dhafra Air Base. Additionally, Sergeant Custis oversaw the construction of 800 filters for the scheduled maintenance program and assembled filter kits for 170 vehicles that were neglected for up to two years, sustaining Al Dhafra Air Base's 69.7 million dollar vehicle fleet and reducing the periodic maintenance overdue rate by one hundred percent. Further, Sergeant Custis successfully processed 90,000 dollars worth of parts for the Heavy Shop and enabled the completion of 24 Civil Engineering repair projects for 30 facilities base wide. Technical Sergeant Debra C. Adame distinguished herself by meritorious service while serving as Warehouse manager, Material Control, 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, 379th Expeditionary Mission Support Group, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. During this period, Sergeant Adame managed over 50,000 square feet of warehouse space, spanning eight facilities, for over six million dollars in civil engineer assets. She oversaw a five-person shop that processed 759 purchase requests and accounted for over 18 million dollars in Purchase Request (PR), Blanket Vehicle Delivery (BVD), and Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) materials. Additionally, she laid the foundation for the Expeditionary Squadron's enduring transition by mandating the use of the Civil Engineer Material Acquisition System as the sole tracking system for materials used in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, and Combined Joint Task Force HORN OF AFRICA. Moreover, her team processed and tracked over 6,000 work orders and Form 332s, accounted for over 18.1 million dollars in Civil Engineer material and identified and corrected a critical shortfall within the CEMAS that saved 2.4 million dollars in unaccounted for materials. Finally, with her unwavering asset management skills, Sergeant Adame received zero discrepancies during the final Staff Assistance Visit (SAV). Technical Sergeant Gabriel A Madayag distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Noncommisioned Officer In Charge, Material Control, 149th Combat Communications Squadron, 162nd Combat Communications Group, 129th Rescue Wing, North Highlands Air National Guard Station, California. During this period, the professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Sergeant Madayag contributed to the effectiveness and success of the Material Control element. He demonstrated skill and expertise while managing a 5.2 million dollar multi-service supply account and providing exceptional supply support to forces directly engaged with terrorist networks within Afghanistan in direct support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. In addition, he facilitated the procurement of more than five hundred equipment and supply requests and supplied United States ground forces with the resources needed to conduct their missions. Finally, his efforts helped bridge the Supply Chain Management support gap and identified opportunities for improvement in the field. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Madayag reflect credit upon himself, the 149th Combat Communications Squadron and the United States Air Force.
