Cyber Patriot Ribbon

CyberPatriot Ribbon

The CyberPatriot program was created and developed by the Air Force Association (AFA). It encourages and inspires students toward careers in cybersecurity and other STEM subject areas that are critical to our nation's security. The CyberPatriot program includes a variety of challenging initiatives including the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, the nation's largest cyber defense competition, and AFA CyberCamps.

The CyberPatriot program is sponsored and assisted by industry leaders, government agencies, and contractors including the Department of Homeland Security, Northrop Grumman, and Boeing, among many others. Participation in this program can launch participants on a trajectory of life-long learning and lead to a variety of rewarding opportunities in the cyber security industry.

The CyberPatriot Ribbon may be awarded to members of the CyberPatriot program who have demonstrated outstanding achievement while participating in the CyberPatriot STEM program in any capacity. For each additional award earned, an additional bronze oak leaf cluster is authorized. A single silver oak leaf cluster will indicate the award of the fifth bronze oak leaf cluster. This ribbon replaces the CyberPatriot pin which is no longer authorized for wear on cadets' uniforms.
