Staff Sergeant Daniel R. Pham distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Information Systems Security Officer, Advanced Programs Office, 51st Fighter Wing, Osan Air Base, Korea. During this period, Sergeant Pham managed the cyber readiness requirements for 117 subordinate cyber security liaisons in 23 units across the Korean peninsula by validating over eight thousand security controls and mitigating 733 critical deficiencies. Additionally, he eliminated forty thousand vulnerabilities and threat vectors across 11,000 IT systems, securing a 24-month accreditation for two network enclaves, and enabling mission support. Further, he led a six-member team in reviewing 146,000 events across 118 key loaders and correcting 350 anomalous errors to ensure the integrity of three thousand electronic keys. Finally, he modernized the Wing incident response process, cutting response time by over fifty percent and safeguarding more than two million dollars of critical cryptographic material. The distinctive accomplishments of Staff Sergeant Pham reflect credit upon himself, the 51st Fighter Wing and the United States Air Force.




Senior Airman Patricia C. Hegseth distinguished herself by meritorious service while assigned to 707th Communications Squadron, 707th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group, 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. During this period, Airman Hegseth performed Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) duties where she applied security controls to over two thousand IT devices across seventeen System Security Plans defending vital resources. In addition, as a Security Health Officer, she analyzed one hundred thirty two potential threats and liaised between three work centers to mitigate vulnerabilities expeditiously, resulting in earning her the National Security Agency Star Award presented by the branch chief. Furthermore, Airman Hegseth directed eighteen cyber security analysts supporting a twenty-four seven watch floor responding immediately to cyber incidents, ultimately protecting National Security Agency's ten billion dollar Signal Intelligence mission. Finally, she cultivated a collaborative learning culture by providing over 80 hours of on-the-job training to nine members on system security plans and cyber incident response, enhancing overall security posture and manpower capabilities. The distinctive accomplishments of Airman Hegseth reflect credit upon herself, the 707th Communications Squadron and the United States Air Force.




Staff Sergeant Jon H Harris distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Cyber Surety Technician, 95th Communications Squadron, 95th Communications Group, 95th Air Base Wing, Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base, California. During this period, Sergeant Harris consistently demonstrated superior knowledge and superb technical skills which were pivotal in securing the Edwards Air Force Base network. His uncompromising leadership led to the accomplishment of the 2014 Air Force Network Integration Centers inspection of Edwards Air Force Base's Information Assurance program. Sergeant Harris ably stepped up to act as the Edwards Air Force Base Information Assurance training subject matter expert, ensuring all units have access to the knowledge and tools necessary to maintain network security. Additionally, Sergeant Harris established himself as Primary Information Assurance focal point for unit Information System Security Officers and the user community. Finally, he authored five monthly Information Assurance web based bulletins for Edwards Air Force Base, giving guidance not just to the Information Assurance managers but to everyone on Edwards Air Force Base. The distinctive accomplishments of Staff Sergeant Harris reflect credit upon herself, the 95th Communications Squadron and the United States Air Force.
