Language Analyst

Staff Sergeant Trevor A. Mabe distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Language Analyst, 34th Intelligence Squadron, 691st Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group, 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. During this period, Sergeant Mabe analyzed over thirty thousand lines of traffic, identifying a target's radar proliferation initiative. This discovery sparked a collection effort for both the National Geospatial Agency and the United States Cyber Command. In addition, he transcribed a 104-page company phone book which fully characterized 32 departments and nearly two thousand personnel employed at the target nation's top international sales company. This provided key targeting leads for the Defense Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency by giving a complete look into all actors involved in the target country's proliferation efforts. Furthermore, he translated 135 documents pertaining to adversarial air defense posture and uncovered the development of a new weapons system. Sergeant Mabe then detailed this information in five reports, aiding operations in the United States Africa Command area of responsibility. Lastly, Sergeant Mabe managed the intelligence oversight program of a 420-man squadron, achieving a ninety-eight percent compliance rate, three percent higher than the Wing's standard. The distinctive accomplishments of Staff Sergeant Mabe reflect great credit upon himself, the 34th Intelligence Squadron, and the United States Air Force.
