Mission Sustainment Team Element Lead
Staff Sergeant Jeremy J. Vasquez distinguished himself by meritorious service as Mission Sustainment Team Element Lead, 1st Special Operations Support Squadron, 1st Special Operations Group, 1st Special Operations Wing, Hurlburt Field, Florida. During this period, the professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Sergeant Vasquez contributed to the mentoring of 12 Multi-Capable Airmen across seven Air Force Specialty Codes to execute 12 joint missions and three volunteer events. His efforts culminated in being hand selected to inventory, test, manage, and reconstitute 7.5 million dollars of Air Force Special Operation Command Air Rapid Response Kit assets for 16 packages, orchestrating a 12-person team, and ensuring one hundred percent mission and deployment readiness for United States European Command. Secondly, Sergeant Vasquez led the validation exercise and built a Joint Operations Center in a deployed environment for the certification of a rapid response package. He actioned the Wing Commander's community engagement priorities by leading 25 Airmen for four events and teamed with two units to showcase mission sustainment capabilities and guided Headquarters of the Air Force's Operations Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force and Secretary of the Air Force on contested logistics. Additionally, as the Flight Readiness Manager and Range Scheduler, Sergeant Vasquez tracked 960 training items and scheduled 22 missions at 39 ranges, contributing to the deployment readiness of 106 Multi-Capable Airmen. His leadership efforts led to the first ever mission sustainment element deployment in support of Special Operations Tasking Group East Africa, enabling 1st CV-22 Expeditionary Special Operations Unit. Finally, Sergeant Vasquez showcased his leadership by filling a senior leader role for four months, leading 49 Airmen for 10 training missions and authoring four award packages. His leadership proved vital in coordinating with nine units to screen 140 Field Grade Officers for command and Deputy Officer roles across six Wings. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Vasquez reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
