Captain Dianne M. Burrows distinguished herself by meritorious service while serving as Clinical Psychologist, 81st Medical Operations Squadron, 81st Medical Group, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. During this period, the outstanding professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Captain Burrows resulted in major contributions to the effectiveness and success of Air Force programs. She distinguished herself during a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, providing psychological care for over ten thousand coalition service members and establishing three benchmark programs which saved the Department of Defense over seventy thousand dollars. In addition, her leadership as Family Advocacy Program Manager contributed to an Outstanding rating during the 2009 Joint Commission Health Service Inspection and was recognized by Air Education and Training Command as the best behavioral health team for 2009 and 2010. Finally, her community involvement and leadership were recognized by her selection as the 81st Training Wing Company Grade Officer of the year for 2010. The distinctive accomplishments of Captain Burrows reflect credit upon herself, the 81st Medical Operations Squadron and the United States Air Force.




Lieutenant Charles A. Bowman distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Research Psychologist, Cognitive Neuroscience Branch, 711th Human Performance Wing, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. During this period, Lieutenant Bowman's research psychology and human factors expertise contributed to the success of the Cognitive Neuroscience Branch. He efficiently executed multiple cognitive neuroscience research protocols, guiding seven studies focused on improving the quality of life and performance of Airmen in combat related career fields. His oversight of the 450,000 dollar Brain-Derived Neurtropic Factor test group enabled the completion of the first-ever study of its kind. Further, Lieutenant Bowman exceeded the wing requirements for collaborative research by defining and meeting the need for combat physical readiness training for Air Force Special Operations Command. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Lieutenant Bowman reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.




Lieutenant Colonel Roxanne A Halsey distinguished herself by meritorious service while serving as Officer in Charge, Orgun-E Combat Stress Control Team, 455th Expeditionary Medical Group, 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. During this period, Colonel Halsey served as the sole behavioral health provider for a forward deployed Combat Stress Control Team supporting Orgun-E and nine Forward Operating Bases spanning 14,000 kilometers of highly kinetic battlespace. She provided services for two brigades, four battalions, and over 2,000 infantry soldiers and combat engineers, resulting in 350 treatment contacts and over 1,000 hours of outreach services, positively impacting soldiers' operational war-fighting efficiency and personal well-being. She completed 23 missions and spent 30 days "outside the wire" performing outreach services. She was the first behavioral health responder to a remote combat outpost less than 24 hours after a 155mm Howitzer misfired, injuring five artillerymen, facilitating positive coping for 35 soldiers. Additionally, she provided much needed psychological support to a Route Clearing Patrol company following the combat death of a comrade, as well as support to an Army Guard Company coping with a tragic "friendly fire" incident. Moreover, she traveled to a remote combat outpost to provide critical stress support to two platoons during daily combat operations and assisted in medical stabilization and evacuation of 30 trauma cases, twice providing treatment while under hostile fire. Finally, she provided rapid response combat stress interventions including 15 post deployment, combat exposure briefings and eased reintegration for 350 soldiers. The distinctive accomplishments of Colonel Halsey reflect credit upon herself and the United States Air Force.
